The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) are currently reviewing the Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) curriculum for both primary and post primary schools in Ireland. As part of that review, NPC would like to hear the views of parents regarding their children’s RSE education in primary school so that NPC can make a submission to the NCCA, ensuring the views of parents right across Ireland are included on this issue.
We have compiled a survey in order to gather parents’ views and would appreciate it if you could complete and circulate/share this survey to/with other parents of primary school children. The closing date for this survey is the 27th of January 2019. To complete this survey please click this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Review_of_RSE_Curriculum

ST FIACHRA’S SENIOR SCHOOL
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION AGM
Including Zeeko Education Guest Speaker
TOPIC: INTERNET SAFETY
DATE: TUES 2nd October
VENUE: Pastoral Centre Hall
Zeeko are committed to staying up to date with the latest trends in young people’s online behaviour. The children of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class will complete a short online internet survey questionnaire in school over the next two weeks. It is completely anonymous and there is no way for Zeeko to identify an individual student. The information Zeeko collects helps shape the content of presentations and informs us on the cyber issues that need to be addressed. The results of the survey will be included in the Parents’ talk presentation on Tues 2nd October 2018.
The Parents Committee in St. Fiachras Senior School plays a very active role and we are involved in a number of key activities throughout the year such as Book Fair, Secondary School Nights, Confirmation Alb preparation, refreshments after Confirmation and Graduation ceremonies. We also assist the school with fundraising when required. We have been involved in the setting up of the School Library, and the Book Rental scheme.
We are affiliated to the National Parents Council (Primary).
Our AGM will be held shortly after we return from the summer holidays, date and time will be posted shortly. New members are always welcome. If you are interested in becoming involved, please email us at email@example.com
For those of you who didn’t get a chance to complete our survey on the Senior Cycle we have re-opened same due to the number for requests from parents to do so.
