Design and Make a Car Ferry

Each  group of four children designed and made a car ferry. The car ferry had to have a ramp for cars and lorries and had to be capable of holding passengers and ten play cars. Obviously, it also had to float! We tested each car ferry in a large container of water to make sure that each group had met the criteria given! We had lots of fun!

Designing and Making a Hovercraft

It’s amazing what we can design and make with a bottle cap, BluTac, a CD and a balloon!! Yes, can you believe that a hovercraft can be made using these simple items?! When everything is assembled, put the inflated balloon and watch the hovercraft glide!!! FabIMG_0466 IMG_0467 IMG_0468 IMG_0469!!!

Presentation by an Engineer

Robert Finn, a mechanical engineer, gave a very interesting presentation to all the classes in the hall. We learned about the different types of engineering and how one becomes an engineer! It was a fascinating talk! There were many future engineers in the audience!IMG_0566 IMG_0567 IMG_0569 IMG_0571 IMG_0575 IMG_0581
