The camogie team were out in force early this year as we were asked to participate in the mini-games at the Camogie All-Ireland Finals in Croke Park. The girls played at half time of the Liberty Insurance Premier Junior Championship Final between Dublin and Westmeath. There was great excitement on the day and the girls enjoyed the day very much.

The day also marked a special occasion for Ella Troy as she wore the senior camogie team jersey for the first time. Three years ago Ella’s grandmother Eileen Troy won a set of jerseys and kindly donated them to the school for the camogie team. This set of jerseys have been very lucky for us. The jerseys have the initials of PJT on the sleeve in memory of Eileen’s son P.J Troy who sadly lost his life at a young age. Ella will no doubt wear the school jersey with pride many times in the future.
